What you receive
- A PDF/A file, the long-term archiving format recognised by public administrations.
- The translation, followed by the usual certification page: ABC letterhead, certification statement, stamp, signature and order number.
- A qualified electronic signature (QES) by the director, replacing his handwritten signature.
- An electronic seal in the name of ABC Translation Sàrl, linked to our UID number, replacing the agency stamp.
- A verification number and a QR code, so the recipient can check the document in seconds.
Why choose digital
The signed PDF arrives by e-mail, often the same day. No registered post, no notary appointment, no travel. You can forward it as often as needed: every copy of the file is an original, as long as it is not altered.
If the receiving authority refuses the electronic format, we produce the signed paper version and you only pay the difference.
When this level is enough
The digital format suits most online procedures: recognition of foreign diplomas, university admissions, files for employers, banks or insurers, visa platforms. For use abroad where an apostille is required, choose the apostille level instead.
Both versions
Not sure? Order both: the signed PDF is delivered immediately and the paper original is posted afterwards. That way you can submit your application online without waiting.
Can the recipient print the PDF?
Yes. The printout shows exactly the usual certification page. The evidential value of the electronic signature, however, lies in the file itself; for verification, preferably pass on the PDF.
Can I edit or merge the PDF?
No. Any change, even merging it with other files, invalidates the signature. Pass the file on exactly as you received it.
How long does the signature remain valid?
The signature is time-stamped at the moment of signing. The PDF/A format and the qualified time stamp make it possible to prove, years later, that the document was validly signed on that date.
