Where to find the number
The verification number appears on the certification page, next to the QR code, in the form ABC-YYYY-XXXX. The QR code leads straight to this page with the number already filled in.
Your file stays with you
If you select the PDF, its digital fingerprint (SHA-256) is calculated in your browser. The file itself is never sent to our server. We only compare the fingerprint with the one recorded at the time of signing.
For an official check
Our page confirms that the document was issued by us. For an independent report, upload the PDF to validator.ch, the Swiss Confederation's validation service, or open it in Adobe Acrobat Reader. More on how the signature works.
The number cannot be found — what should I do?
Check what you typed (letters and digits, including hyphens). If the number still cannot be found, write to us at info@abc-office.ch with the document attached: we will reply promptly.
What does "different fingerprint" mean?
The file is not identical to the one we signed. It may have been edited, recompressed or merged. Ask the sender for the original file.
